Following the announcement of President Joe Biden’s decision to exit the race for president, The Associated Press and its Election Services team will take the following steps in its reporting on the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee selection process. All existing graphics and AP Election Services data feeds tracking the results of the Democratic Party’s primary elections and delegate allocations up to now will not change. They will continue to show the results of the completed Democratic presidential primary elections and nominating events.
In addition to this, AP is currently undertaking a process to track the intentions of all Democratic delegates in a new delegate survey and graphic (shown below), which will be made available to our AP Election Services customers shortly.
